I am the Interim President at Colorado College and also a Professor of Education. Prior to moving into administration, I taught classes on social and political issues in education. I received my doctorate in developmental psychology from Vanderbilt University and my B.A. in educational psychology from Dartmouth College. I have worked as an educational consultant since 2009 and established Blueprint Educational Strategies in 2013.
My four books include: Public School Equity: Educational Leadership for Justice, Schooling Multicultural Teachers: A Guide for Program Assessment and Professional Development, Learning from the Inside-Out: Child Development and School Choice, and co-editor of Counternarratives from Women of Color Academics: Bravery, Vulnerability, and Resistance.
